Job Description RESIDENT SERVICES COORDINATOROVERVIEW
A mission-driven property management organization is seeking a compassionate and experienced Resident Services Coordinator to lead the design and delivery of programs that support and enrich the lives of residents living in affordable housing communities. This full-time leadership position works in close collaboration with property management teams to foster resident stability, engagement, and community well-being. The RSC will also play a key role in building partnerships with local service providers and securing funding opportunities to support resident services.WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Collaborate with property management teams to identify and coordinate programming that promotes housing stability and resident success
- Support RSCs and site staff in developing resident engagement goals and measurable outcomes
- Design and implement programs that help reduce rent arrears, improve lease compliance, and promote positive resident relationships
- Establish and maintain strong partnerships with community-based organizations, service providers, and funders
- Train RSCs on using an outcome tracking tool to evaluate program success and report results
- Lead efforts to identify and secure funding opportunities at the local and national level
- Analyze performance data and apply findings to improve service delivery
- Host regular check-ins with site teams to problem-solve challenges and plan engagement events
- Understand resident concerns and coordinate support through appropriate referrals and resources
- Oversee the planning of community-building events and seasonal celebrations
- Prepare standardized, site-specific monthly newsletters across all properties
- Maintain accurate records, documentation, and reporting to meet internal and external requirements
- Prepare monthly reports for leadership and funders
- Manage resident engagement budgets and any grant-funded program budgets
- Represent the organization professionally in meetings with local agencies, funders, municipalities, and community stakeholders
- Participate in professional development and organizational training opportunities

- Bachelor’s degree in social work, human services, or a related field
- 3–5 years of experience in community engagement, program development, staff supervision, and partnership management
- Demonstrated success in securing grant funding
- Strong understanding of HUD, Fair Housing, and related affordable housing regulations
- Ability to oversee and support teams across multiple sites
- Excellent written, verbal, and organizational communication skills
- Cultural competency and ability to work effectively with diverse communities
- Experience leading or facilitating community meetings and events
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook), outcome tracking systems, and property management platforms like Yardi
- Self-starter with the ability to prioritize, manage deadlines, and work independently
- Flexibility, empathy, and a sense of humor highly valued
- Reliable transportation required for regular regional travel
