As a Lead Teacher, you’ll take ownership of your classroom while fostering a warm, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for children ages 0–5. Through thoughtful planning, collaboration, and compassionate leadership, you’ll implement curriculum, guide daily classroom operations, and mentor Assistant Teachers. You’ll partner closely with families, uphold health, safety, and licensing standards, and help cultivate a positive, community-centered school culture where children and educators thrive.
Salary Ranges: $20.00 to $24.36 per hour for Lead Teachers plus $2,000 sign on bonus. $2,000 sign on bonus for lead qualified candidates will be paid out: 50% on the first pay period following your 180th day of employment and 50% on the first pay period following 270 days of consecutive employment.

Qualifications:

  • Coursework completed in Early Childhood Education required; degree preferred
  • Lead Teacher eligibility per state licensing regulations
  • Experience working with children ages 0–5 in an early learning environment
  • Strong classroom management and curriculum implementation skills
  • Ability to mentor and collaborate with Assistant Teachers
  • Excellent communication skills with children, families, and colleagues
  • Commitment to health, safety, and licensing standards
  • Ability to work a Full-Time onsite schedule at an assigned school

The compensation range represents Heartworks’ intention for this position.
