Job Description
As an Assistant Teacher, you will be a critical member of our school community, supporting the maintenance of the Montessori prepared environment and reinforcing Montessori’s philosophy of whole child education. Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
●&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Supporting with all aspects of the daily routine, including snacks, dishes, nap time, recess, bathroom duties, and classroom laundry
●&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Observing children and sharing questions and observations with teacher leaders
●&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Help with supervision of students to ensure a peaceful classroom environment
●&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Maintaining an inventory of daily supplies
●&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Cleaning and sanitizing the classroom environment
●&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Initiating growth and change in your own intellectual and professional development
Your Qualifications
●&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Experience with Montessori preschool programs will be a plus but not required.&nbsp;
●&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Must have or intend to pursue EEC qualification for preschool teaching.
●&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Must respect children and support their natural development.
●&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Must have an open mind and be ready to learn
