Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Provide expert emergency care in a fast-paced Emergency Department located in Manchester, NH. This contract position calls for experienced Registered Nurses skilled in managing diverse and critical patient needs ranging from trauma and stroke care to psychiatric emergencies. The unit features 25 procedure rooms, 8 hallway beds utilized around the clock, and a secure psychiatric annex, serving a broad patient population including those with complex cardiac conditions, sepsis, and more.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience for contract candidates
  • Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC (mandatory for contract nurses)
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent communication abilities with patients and healthcare team members
  • Dependable with a punctual, motivated work ethic
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and emergency protocols
  • Preferred experience includes EKG interpretation and additional certifications (MOAB considered a plus)

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive emergency nursing care including trauma response, stroke protocols, laceration repair, orthopedic trauma management, ultrasound-guided IV insertion, IO insertion, eye exams, EKGs, psychiatric care, and cardiopulmonary support
  • Utilize equipment such as Lucas Devices, Hotline Rapid Infusers, Alaris pumps, and Pyxis medication dispensers
  • Operate within policy-driven protocols to order labs, imaging, and medications to expedite patient triage and treatment
  • Collaborate effectively with a dedicated multi-disciplinary team comprising charge RNs, ED techs, and department coordinators
  • Adhere to strict safety and dress code policies, maintaining professionalism and patient safety at all times

Schedule:

  • Contract nurses work every other weekend with varied shifts aligning with 7 am to 3 am and overnight coverage
