Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This position offers an opportunity to work as a Special Education Teacher serving kindergarten through first grade students with intensive needs in an elementary school setting. The teacher will support a diverse classroom, assisting with toileting and wheelchair transfers as part of daily routines, ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each students unique needs.
  • Provide direct instruction and therapeutic support to students with intensive special needs.
  • Assist with personal care tasks including toileting and wheelchair transfers.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support student progress.
  • Monitor and document student performance and behavior.
  • Communicate effectively with families and caregivers to promote student growth.

Qualifications:

  • Valid New Hampshire Special Education licensure required.
  • Experience working with young children (kindergarten to first grade) with intensive needs.
  • Ability to perform physical assistance, including toileting and wheelchair transfers.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive, student-centered classroom.

Location and Contract Details:

  • Position based in Merrimack, NH.
  • Contract duration: August 4, 2025 May 31, 2026.
  • Full-time schedule: 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
  • Serving an elementary school setting focusing on early childhood special education.
