Our client is seeking an experienced Production Planner to own and execute the sites production schedule. This role manages MRP planning, materials coordination, engineering changes, and production order flow to ensure on time delivery of complex, custom‑built equipment.

This is a hands‑on, high‑visibility role that works closely with Production, Purchasing, Engineering, and leadership.

Onsite | No Visa Sponsorship | No Relocation Assistance

Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8AM–4PM

Responsibilities:

  • Plan inventory levels to prevent shortages and excess stock.
  • Close production orders and ensure accurate cost capture.
  • Create and maintain Bills of Material (BOMs) as needed.
  • Issue parts pick lists and support production order execution.
  • Run daily MRP reports and take action to resolve shortages or delays.
  • Coordinate with Purchasing to ensure timely availability of materials and components.
  • Monitor work‑in‑progress and adjust schedules based on material status, engineering changes, and shop capacity.
  • Communicate schedule updates and priorities to Production, Change Parts, Spare Parts, Shipping, and management.
  • Implement Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and ensure updates flow to the shop floor and open jobs.
  • Review open orders, backorders, and forecasts to identify risks and drive corrective actions.
  • Develop and manage production schedules to meet customer delivery commitments.

Qualifications/Must Haves:

  • High school or equivalent required.
  • Experience in capital equipment manufacturing (required)
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of MRP systems and production order management.
  • Ability to coordinate across Production, Purchasing, Engineering, and Shipping.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Production Planner, Scheduler, or similar role in manufacturing.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience with ECNs, BOM creation, and ERP systems.
  • Background in low‑volume, high‑mix manufacturing environments.
