Senior Machine Operator
Pay: $28.00 - $31.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 1st Shift (flexible after training)
Our client, a family-owned and operated manufacturing company, is seeking a Senior Machine Operator to join their growing team.
We're looking for a mature, capable problem solver with strong technical ability and experience handling complex setups. The ideal candidate has prior experience with centerless grinding and a solid background in manufacturing - this is not an entry-level position.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate machinery for the production of medical-grade stainless steel tubing, including draw blocks, draw benches, and straighteners
- Perform complicated setups on centerless grinding and straightening machines
- Manage multiple machines and monitor production runs for quality and efficiency
- Complete required production documentation and maintain accurate records
- Use precision measuring tools (such as micrometers) to inspect and verify parts
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment required
- Prior experience with centerless grinding strongly preferred
- Proven ability to perform complex setups independently
- Excellent attention to detail and quality standards
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Reliable, mature, and self-directed work ethic
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
- Basic computer literacy (barcode scanning, record lookup)
