Job DescriptionWe are looking for a skilled Commercial Litigation Attorney to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Norwell, Massachusetts. This role involves handling complex legal disputes, particularly in the areas of construction and environmental law, while collaborating across multiple departments. The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to manage litigation processes effectively and build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee and manage contract disputes, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
• Represent the organization in commercial litigation cases, particularly in construction and environmental law.
• Draft, review, and file legal documents, including motions and briefs.
• Conduct detailed research and analysis during the discovery phase of litigation.
• Collaborate with various internal departments and teams to provide legal guidance.
• Work closely with external counsel when necessary to support litigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations while advising on potential legal risks.
• Develop and execute litigation strategies tailored to the organization's objectives.
• Foster strong relationships with stakeholders across different departments, adapting to a variety of personalities and communication styles.• Active license to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
• 5-10 years of experience handling commercial litigation cases.
• Expertise in civil litigation, with a focus on complex disputes.
• Strong background in construction and environmental law is highly desirable.
• Proven ability to draft motions, briefs, and other legal documents with precision.
• Experience conducting discovery processes and managing large-scale legal research.
• A blend of in-house and law firm experience is preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively across diverse teams.
