Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A K-12 educational opportunity is available for experienced Special Education teachers to provide dedicated support within a dynamic school environment. This contract role focuses on serving secondary-level students with moderate special education needs, offering the chance to make a meaningful impact on students' academic and personal growth.
Locations and Details:
- Two full-time positions at the high school level, serving grades 9 through 12. Hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 2:10 PM, with contract duration through June 2026.
- One full-time position at the middle school level, serving grades 6 through 8. Hours are Monday through Friday, 7:50 AM to 2:40 PM, with contract duration through March 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to meet students unique learning needs.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to promote inclusive educational practices.
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies to maximize learning outcomes.
- Maintain thorough documentation of student performance and compliance with state regulations.
- Foster a supportive, positive classroom atmosphere that encourages student engagement and independence.
Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification with a moderate license.
- Proven experience teaching at the secondary education level.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
