X-Ray (Radiology) Technologist
Location: Bedford, NH
Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday with flexibility to cover additional shifts as needed

New Hampshire Orthopaedic Center (NHOC), a division of Northeast Orthopaedic Alliance, is seeking a skilled and patient-focused X-Ray Technologist to join our radiology team. At NHOC, we are dedicated to providing exceptional orthopaedic care in a supportive, team-oriented environment.

Position Overview
The X-Ray Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic imaging, maintaining x-ray files and equipment, and ensuring patient safety at all times. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with physicians, staff, and patients in a busy medical setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform x-rays of patients, including proper positioning, exposure control, shielding, and quality assurance of images.

  • Process and log imaging procedures, maintaining accurate and organized records.

  • Manage x-ray files, including filing, tracking, and retrieving films as needed.

  • Ensure proper maintenance of x-ray equipment by cleaning, making minor adjustments, and reporting malfunctions or arranging repairs as necessary.

  • Maintain cleanliness of cassettes, screens, and imaging areas.

  • Provide schedule flexibility to cover vacations, time off, and occasional satellite office coverage.

  • Participate in required meetings and committees as assigned.

  • Engage in ongoing professional development through continuing education, workshops, and conferences.

  • Uphold patient confidentiality in all interactions.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program.

  • ARRT certification required.

  • 2+ years of radiology experience preferred; orthopaedic experience a plus.

  • Knowledge of medical terminology and proficiency with computers/word processing systems.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with patients, staff, and physicians.

  • Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
