Work Arrangement
Commit to our rotating weekly schedule from Thursday to Saturday, and every other Wednesday, during the nighttime hours of 7 PM to 7 AM.
Compensation
Your dedication is rewarded at a rate of $30 per hour, with an additional $1.25 night-shift premium.
Your Role Includes:
- Executing predictive and preventive maintenance to minimize any equipment downtime.
- Conducting scheduled inspections and ensuring the workplace remains safe, orderly, and clean.
- Managing maintenance requests in a responsive and timely fashion, ensuring production processes run smoothly.
- Maintaining climate-controlled environments by servicing HVAC systems.
- Upholding compliance with environmental disposal standards.
- Addressing electrical needs by installing or repairing light fixtures and wiring.
- Keeping accurate records of production efficiency and downtime.
- Observing strict safety measures, especially during the Lock-out, Tag-out procedures with chemicals.
- Fostering operations improvement through process analysis and innovation.
- Gaining and applying mechanical and technical skills via ongoing education and participation in training.
- Successfully fulfilling all roles of an irradiator operator and succeeding in safety and electrical certifications.
- Leveraging computer systems for maintenance work orders and training documentation.
- Supporting team efforts and adhering to corporate guidelines outlined in STERIS’ directives.
Experience and Skills
Mandatory:
- Completion of a high school diploma or G.E.D.
- Experience in systems like pneumatics, hydraulics, or electrical applications.
- Proficiency in computer systems, including software applications, word processing, and spreadsheets.
- Basic blueprint reading and schematic interpretation skills.
- Physical capability to handle tasks requiring lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Fluent verbal and written communication skills.
- Operation in warm, occasionally dusty settings while wearing appropriate protective gear.
Optional:
- Experience with PLC/control systems.
- Advanced organizational and analytical skills.
- Effective interpersonal interaction based on previous roles.
- Ability to clearly perceive alarms and cautionary signals.
Other Requirements: Be dependable and detail-oriented while contributing positively as a team-player.
