Summary

The Engineering Technician II works with Process Engineers to develop and maintain manufacturing techniques and processes. Recognizes and utilizes prescribed techniques to solve problems.  Can recommend and execute enhancements to product and process flows.

Responsibilities

  • Supports Process Engineers in establishing high-yielding, cost-effective processes based on product needs and customer requirements.
  • Complies with Company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments.
  • Set up and operate equipment and develop process programs.
  • With direction from Process Engineers, can execute the design of experiments (DOE), gathering data for analysis.
  • Uses principles of Cost of Goods Sold and executes process improvements to increase the cost-effectiveness of manufacturing.
  • Serves as a member of cross-functional project teams.
  • Ensures Intellectual Property issues are being considered relative to processes being developed.

Qualifications 

  • An AS degree in engineering or technical field is required; an advanced degree is preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years relevant engineering experience.
  • Familiarity of MIL-PRF-38535, MIL-STD-883, ISO9001 and EIA/JEDEC and standards.
  • Strong electro-mechanical aptitude; can identify and resolve complex system problems.
  • Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Must be able to multitask, and prioritize projects assigned.
  • Understands work environment issues (i.e. OSHA regulations, etc.).
