Job Title: Direct Support Professional
Full-Time 30-40 hours per week, Mon-Fri 9am-3pm
Part-Time: Weekend shifts available: Sat-Sun 9am-5pm - flexible
Job Summary:
As a Direct Support Professional, your primary job responsibility is to support program participants according to their scheduled activities. This may include assisting people with health and wellness goals, teaching skills for independent living, or helping a person at their job site.
What you'll do:
- Providing supported employment assistance and job coaching.
- Help and guide individuals with daily living skills.
- Assisting program participants with achieving their short-term and long-term goals
- Transporting and accompanying program participants to activities in the community.
- Seeking out opportunities for community-based activities for the individuals to enjoy.
- Help to provide a safe and nurturing environment for our individuals.
- Some administration duties (4 hours per week)
- Schedule evening and weekend activities
- Coordinate staff to support activities and work need
- Update and maintain activities calendar
- Other admin duties as required
What we're looking for:
- Preferably individuals who possess 1 year of DSP experience
- Someone who can think outside the box.
- A passion and dedication to help others.
- Eagerness to learn.
- Flexible and adaptable.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license with a safe driving record and auto insurance.
- 18 years or older.
