Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist in Charge experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Location: Boston, Massachusetts
Setting: Long-Term Care / Closed Door Pharmacy
Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday Friday, with some weekends as needed

Overview:
RPh on the Go is seeking a strong and experienced Pharmacist in Charge to lead a long-term care, closed-door pharmacy in Boston. This role is ideal for candidates with recent pharmacy management experience, preferably in LTC, who are ready to oversee operations, ensure compliance, and support a high-performing team.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local pharmacy regulations.
  • Oversee daily pharmacy operations, including prescription dispensing, medication counseling, and patient care services.
  • Maintain accurate and complete records of all pharmacy transactions, including inventory and controlled substance management.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure safe, efficient pharmacy operations.
  • Provide guidance and support to pharmacists, technicians, and other staff, fostering a positive work environment.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback and training to maintain high-quality service.
  • Oversee the inventory manager, ensuring adequate medication stock while minimizing waste.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and other stakeholders to resolve medication-related issues.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and drive operational efficiency and patient care outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Active and clear Massachusetts Pharmacist license.
  • 24 years of long-term care pharmacy experience.
  • Recent pharmacy management experience, preferably in LTC.
