Schedule: Monday Friday, with some weekends as needed
Overview:
RPh on the Go is seeking a strong and experienced Pharmacist in Charge to lead a long-term care, closed-door pharmacy in Boston. This role is ideal for candidates with recent pharmacy management experience, preferably in LTC, who are ready to oversee operations, ensure compliance, and support a high-performing team.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local pharmacy regulations.
- Oversee daily pharmacy operations, including prescription dispensing, medication counseling, and patient care services.
- Maintain accurate and complete records of all pharmacy transactions, including inventory and controlled substance management.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure safe, efficient pharmacy operations.
- Provide guidance and support to pharmacists, technicians, and other staff, fostering a positive work environment.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback and training to maintain high-quality service.
- Oversee the inventory manager, ensuring adequate medication stock while minimizing waste.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and other stakeholders to resolve medication-related issues.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and drive operational efficiency and patient care outcomes.
Requirements:
- Active and clear Massachusetts Pharmacist license.
- 24 years of long-term care pharmacy experience.
- Recent pharmacy management experience, preferably in LTC.
