We are seeking an Installation Technician to join our team in Boston, MA. In this role you will complete installation of products and services, resolve and troubleshoot issues while connecting face-to-face with customers.

The Role
- Completes installation of products and services

Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience in cable/fiber installation
- Excellent customer service, time management, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to learn and operate testing equipment and software/programs
- Ability to utilize hand tools, identify wire size/color and accurately utilize measuring devices
- Ability to carry, climb, operate, and work upon an extension ladder (approximately 28 feet high and 75 pounds)
- Ability to complete work indoors, outdoors, in tight spaces and elevated by bending, reaching, twisting, climbing, and working while standing up to 70% of the time
- Ability to safely navigate various terrains, managing equipment and tools
- A body weight of no more than 275 pounds to perform ladder work safely. **Safety is our #1 Priority. If personal safety is not compromised, an accommodation may be available based on previous ladder experience in a similar role**
- Must provide a valid government-issued photo ID for verification; a driver’s license is required if the role involves driving
- Passing of all client requirements (MVR, Background Check, Drug Screen)

- Have you worked specifically with FTTH installations for residential clients?
- Have you previously completed work as a contractor or technician for Comcast or any other major telecom providers? If so, what type of projects did you handle?
- What certifications do you hold related to fiber optics (e.g., FOA CFOT, ETA Fiber Optics Installer, OSHA)?
- Are your certifications current?
- Are you comfortable working both indoors and outdoors, sometimes in inclement weather, and do you have experience running fiber through different types of dwellings (single-family homes, apartments, etc.)?
- Do you have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to carry and use a ladder and other necessary equipment?
Experience:
- Coax/Ethernet cable: 1 year (Required)
- Aerial and underground fiber installations?: 1 year (Preferred)
- Fiber optic loss testing: 1 year (Preferred)
- Interpreting fiber optic test results.: 1 year (Preferred)
