Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and developing electrical systems for various building projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and codes while delivering innovative solutions to meet client needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop electrical systems for commercial and residential buildings
- Utilize Revit and AutoCAD software for drafting and modeling electrical layouts
- Create power distribution plans and lighting design specifications
- Collaborate with architects, mechanical engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate electrical systems into building designs
- Ensure compliance with NEC codes and industry standards throughout the design process
- Conduct site visits and assessments to evaluate existing systems and gather project requirements
- Manage project timelines and deliverables, ensuring projects are completed on schedule and within budget
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and design team members
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Proven experience in electrical design engineering, preferably in building systems
- Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD software
- Strong understanding of power distribution and lighting design principles
- Knowledge of NEC codes and standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Experience in project management and team collaboration
