Job DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced Paralegal to join a busy residential real estate law firm in Framingham, Massachusetts. In this long-term contract role, you will play a pivotal part in managing all aspects of residential closings, from file preparation to post-closing processes. This position is ideal for an organized and detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the entire lifecycle of residential real estate closings, including opening files and ensuring all necessary documentation is in place.
• Order title exams, plot plans, and other essential closing-related items to ensure smooth transactions.
• Draft and review title commitments while preparing files for closing procedures.
• Manage post-closing activities, ensuring all documentation and processes are completed accurately.
• Utilize conveyancing software, preferably E-closing, to streamline file management and closing processes.
• Maintain a high level of organization while managing multiple files in a dynamic work environment.
• Collaborate effectively with team members and external parties to ensure timely and efficient closings.
• Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements throughout the closing process.
• Provide clear and effective communication with clients and partners.
• Demonstrate strong attention to detail in every aspect of the role.• Proven experience as a Paralegal in residential real estate law.
• Proficiency with conveyancing software, with a preference for E-closing.
• Strong knowledge of residential closing procedures and related documentation.
• Familiarity with title commitments and post-closing processes.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to handle a fast-paced workload.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with a detail-oriented approach.
• High level of motivation and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
