Job Duties
- Perform screening and diagnostic mammography and stereotactic procedures per MQSA/ACR standards.
- Operate mammography equipment safely; set exposure factors; ensure two patient identifiers.
- Review requisitions, prior images, and radiologist reports; update orders if needed.
- Educate patients on exam process; obtain accurate history; refer to NP when required.
- Position patients, monitor safety/comfort, and produce quality images.
- Evaluate images for technical quality and completeness; upload to PACS and burn CDs as needed.
- Perform DEXA scans (spine, hip, forearm) and maintain bone density QC records.
- Complete all required MQSA/ACR quality control tests and documentation.
- Maintain equipment, report malfunctions, and manage supply inventory.
- Maintain accurate patient records and data management for mammography and DEXA.
- Ensure compliance with infection control, radiation safety, and departmental policies.
Qualifications
- ARRT certified (Radiography)
- Massachusetts Radiology & Mammography license
- Current BLS
