Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time teaching opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher specializing in elementary grades 1st and 2nd. This contract role runs from ASAP through the remainder of the school year and involves leading a self-contained classroom focused on supporting students with emotional disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to meet the unique needs of students with emotional disabilities
  • Deliver engaging and differentiated instruction that supports academic and social-emotional growth
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including counselors and support staff, to create a positive learning environment
  • Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
  • Communicate regularly with families to provide updates and foster partnerships

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Special Education teaching certification with experience at the elementary level
  • Demonstrated ability to teach and manage a self-contained classroom for students with emotional disabilities
  • Strong classroom management and behavior intervention skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive classroom community
