A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available for the 2026-2027 school year in Ludlow, MA, serving high school students in a specialized educational setting. The role involves working within the Compass High Program at Ludlow High School, designed for students with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and other learning differences. This program emphasizes personalized and supportive education outside traditional environments, aiming to enhance students skills toward greater independence.
Location:
- Ludlow, MA (assignment site; client main office in West Springfield)
- High school setting
Position Details:
- Contract position for the 2026-2027 school year (approximate dates: 8/27/2026 6/22/2027)
- 32.5 hours per week
- Caseload includes supervising a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
- Specialized caseload focusing on ASD and other learning differences
Qualifications:
- Certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist with CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence)
- Valid state licensure meeting requirements for school-based SLP services
- Experience or strong interest in working with high school students with ASD or related needs
- Ability to supervise and collaborate with SLPA personnel effectively
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language evaluations and therapy tailored to students with complex needs
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop functional goals
- Monitor student progress and adapt interventions as needed
- Supervise and support the SLPA in clinical duties
- Document services and maintain compliance with state and district guidelines
