This position is responsible for maintaining the highest level of cleanliness throughout the property, to include; public space, restrooms and all lobby areas. Other duties will be assigned as needed. Beauport Hospitality Group encourages and expects all associates to develop the skills necessary to provide exceptional service both in and outside of their primary department. It is necessary that associates have the ability to multi-task and deliver outstanding service outside of their primary responsibilities listed on their job description.
Experience:
Must have at least one (1) or more years of cleaning experience, preferably in a Hospitality environment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Report to Supervisor for daily tasks, assignments, and projects.
- Clean the lobby, restrooms and public areas in compliance with Hotel Standards.
- Walk all assigned spaced at the beginning of the shift, removing newspapers, trash, emptying receptacles and noting any areas that need immediate cleaning.
- Cleaning assigned public areas, including dusting, polishing, vacuuming, glass cleaning and trash removal.
- Clean guest elevators.
- Clean public restrooms, stocking with appropriate supplies.
- Perform quality checks on public area lamps.
- Clean the back offices as assigned, to include the trash removal.
- Adhere to all Bloodborne Pathogen procedures and Safety precautions in regards to handling hygienic items and guests' personal products
- Public space cleaning checklist must be completed daily
- Comply with hotels policy and procedures regarding attendance and attire
- Demonstrate team behavior and attitude of working together to accomplish tasks
- Complete other duties as assigned by the Manager.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
- Interior and exterior of hotel, primarily public spaces, lobby and guest areas, with some exposure to sun, heat, cold and changing weather conditions.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to stand for 8' hours length of time.
- Ability to walk/stand approximately 90% of shift.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular and continuous basis.
- Flexible availability, to include, nights, weekends and holidays.
- Requires good communication; both verbal and written.
- Must be able to show initiative, anticipating guest or operational needs.
- Ability to communicate effectively in the English Language. A second language is desirable.
- Ability to practice and adhere to all safety requirements.
