Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A contract opportunity is available for a Staff Pharmacist to support an outpatient/retail pharmacy connected to a hospital in Nantucket, MA. This role offers approximately a 13-week assignment starting as soon as possible. The schedule consists of five 8-hour day shifts per week, providing a consistent work routine.

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently in a retail setting.
• Provide patient counseling and educate on medication use and safety.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient care.
• Maintain compliance with all pharmacy laws, regulations, and policies.
• Manage pharmacy inventory and ensure proper record-keeping.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Current Massachusetts pharmacist license required.
• Retail pharmacy experience strongly preferred.
• Availability for full-time day shifts throughout the assignment.
• Positive attitude and strong communication skills.

Location and Living Details:This assignment is based on Nantucket Island, which requires travel via ferry. The cost of the ferry and living arrangements will be managed with support including per diem and assistance with ferry fare. Shared housing is provided in hospital-arranged apartments due to limited local housing options. Nantucket offers a unique, scenic environment ideal for those comfortable with island living for the duration of the contract.
