Job Description
Our client designs all of the nation's telephone news and homeland security vehicles. They are expanding their team and looking to hire two electrical technicians. The hire date is as soon as possible.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair customer issues on specialized communication vehicles for the TV News Industry, Law Enforcement, and Government Agencies. This includes electrical and electronic equipment, as well as electro-mechanical and vehicle structural issues.
- Perform vehicle upgrades through undercarriage wiring, mast removal, and rebuilding.
- Repair alternators and MEPS systems.
- Build custom roof decks.
- Regulate satellite technology on vehicles.
- Install, program, and test equipment on ENG, SNG, and production vehicles.
Essential Skills
- Must have own tools.
- Previous experience troubleshooting and correcting all electrical, electro-mechanical, and calibration problems during testing period.
- Strong mechanical experience (an automotive mechanic would work well in this role).
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with wiring harnesses, wiring schematics, audiovisual, and radio repair.
- Experience using crimpers.
- Journeyman electrician certification (nice to have).
- Apprentice electrician certification (nice to have).

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Auburn, Massachusetts.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
