Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A registered nurse with acute care experience is needed for a night-shift role in a Med/Surg Tele float pool. This position requires flexibility to work across eight different hospital units, delivering skilled cardiac care and telemetry monitoring to a varied patient population.
Location:This role is based in Lowell, MA, offering easy access to amenities and transportation options in the area. The position includes free on-site parking for convenience.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care across multiple Med/Surg Tele units including ED and ICU overflow areas
- Perform cardiac monitoring and manage cardiac drips with accurate telemetry strip interpretation every four hours
- Care for diverse patient groups including emergency department border patients, acute mental health unit patients, and non-vented ICU transfer-ready patients
- Utilize EPIC electronic medical records for accurate documentation and communication
- Adhere to patient-to-nurse ratios appropriate for day, evening, and night shifts
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Valid Massachusetts RN license and current AHA BLS certification
- Minimum of two years of acute care hospital experience preferred
- Proficient in telemetry monitoring, including interval measurement and strip interpretation
- Skilled in management of cardiac drips and use of TR Band devices
- Ability to float to various hospital units as needed
Schedule:
- Night shifts and every other weekend rotation, totaling 36 hours weekly
