We are seeking a dedicated Mechanical Assembler to join our team. This role involves assembling mechanical and electro-mechanical components using a variety of hand tools. The position requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and a commitment to producing high-quality work. The schedule is from 7am to 3:30pm, Monday through Friday.
Responsibilities
- Mechanical assembly of extrusion frames.
- Perform minimal electro-mechanical assembly using proper grounding techniques.
- Follow work instructions and perform repetitive assembly operations.
- Produce quality work to meet specified time standards.
- Conduct in-process checks using visual inspection and measurement tools.
- Participate in cross-functional training to reduce takt time.
- Utilize a variety of hand tools such as screwdrivers, hex keys, drills, saws, tape measures, and fixtures.
- Coordinate with teammates to manually integrate large subassemblies into a final assembly.
- Willingness to work overtime as needed.
Essential Skills
- High School Education
- Basic print reading and experience in wire dressing and termination
- Proficiency in reading and measuring using a tape measure
- Experience operating hand pallet jacks to move material within the plant
- Ability to lift materials and products up to 30 pounds frequently
- Frequent use of hand tools and the ability to stand for long periods
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Some manufacturing experience is desired
- Experience with control panels, soldering, cable assembly, mechanical and electrical assembly
- Proficiency with hand and power tools, blueprint reading, and mechanical aptitude
- Experience with inspection and production assembly line work
- Experience with electro-mechanical assembly or grounding techniques

Work Environment
The working conditions are typical of a manufacturing environment, requiring safety equipment such as eye safety glasses and safety shoes. Loose-fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted. The role involves physical activities such as standing for long periods, lifting up to 30 pounds, and performing various movements like squatting, bending, and reaching.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Franklin, Massachusetts.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
