IT Operations Engineer II
NHRS is seeking an experienced IT Operations Engineer II to design, implement, and maintain secure, reliable information technology infrastructure across cloud and on-premise environments. This role ensures hardware, software, networks, and systems function optimally and securely to support NHRS operations. The IT Operations Engineer II also mentors team members and helps shape infrastructure planning to align with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage network, server, endpoint, cloud, and Microsoft 365 infrastructure
- Ensure infrastructure standards, procedures, and governance are in place and followed
- Collaborate with business units to improve IT service efficiency and effectiveness
- Troubleshoot issues, monitor system performance and security, and implement upgrades
- Support Service Desk with 3rd level technical support and coordinate with vendors
- Improve IT operations through automation, orchestration, and continuous process improvement
- Participate in IT strategy, policy creation, and incident response efforts
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (Master’s preferred or equivalent experience)
- 10+ years’ experience supporting and securing network infrastructure and endpoint technologies
- Proficient in LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, cloud services, virtualization, IAM, and security concepts
- Strong knowledge of VMware, Veeam, Microsoft stack, and security frameworks (CIS Controls preferred)
- Microsoft 365, Entra, or equivalent certifications preferred; additional certifications (Azure, AWS, ITIL, CISSP, etc.) desirable
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills with ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
Pay range: NHRS is hiring in the range of $90,000-$110,000
The full position range is Band L $77,356.50 – $116,493/annually
