Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Special Education, or Visual Impairments, active Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification and 1+ years Teacher of the Visually Impaired experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Teachers of the Visually Impaired (TVI) for a full-time opportunity with school districts in the Andover, MA area. This is a rewarding role for passionate educators dedicated to supporting students with visual impairments to achieve their fullest potential.

Requirements:

Applicants must meet all local and state requirements, including:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Education or a related field.

• Massachusetts teaching license with a Visual Impairment endorsement (PreK12).

• Certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI).

• Strong knowledge of Braille, assistive technology, and adaptive educational strategies.

• Prior school-based or pediatric experience preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct and consultative instructional services to students with visual impairments.

• Adapt and modify curriculum materials into accessible formats such as Braille, large print, or digital text.

• Collaborate with general and special education teachers to support inclusion and accessibility.

• Assess student needs and develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to support academic and functional goals.

• Train students in the use of assistive technology tools and mobility techniques to promote independence.

• Communicate and collaborate with parents, staff, and related service providers to ensure consistent support.

• Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with state and district requirements.
