ABOUT THE POSITION
The Internship Manager engages graduate interns using culturally responsive, person-centered, strengths-based support. This role designs and oversees a structured internship experience from candidate interview through completion, including onboarding, training, supervision coordination, and performance evaluation. The Internship Manager collaborates with clinical supervisors and the School-Based Manager to ensure quality services and learning outcomes, develops learning contracts/objectives with academic partners, and sustains/adapts training modules for Behavioral Health Department (BHD) interns. The role also secures external speakers/trainers as needed and provides supervision to strengthen interns’ clinical lens.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Facilitate twice-weekly internship meetings and weekly group supervision; provide weekly administrative supervision.
• Coordinate licensed supervision; maintain field-contact logs; document individual/group supervision and hour completion.
• Develop and deliver learning curriculum for group supervision; approve engagement notes, CANS assessments, treatment plans, and safety plans; provide feedback on clinical documentation; complete process-recording feedback and evaluations as needed.
• Meet regularly with the School-Based Manager and other intern supports to identify training needs and address concerns.
• Design and manage the internship structure and annual cycle—from candidate interview through internship completion; track hours and learning goals.
• Execute and maintain college/university partnerships; secure external speakers/trainers.
• Participate in weekly supervision and staff meetings; attend required trainings.
• Deliver services professionally, ensuring privacy, safety, and trauma-informed care.
• Work as part of a team to advance agency goals and strengthen families.

REQUIREMENTS
Must-Haves
• Massachusetts CANS certification (current or eligible for immediate renewal).
• Master’s level clinician with training experience (e.g., Social Work, Counseling, Psychology).
• Supervisory experience (interns and/or clinical staff).
• Valid, unrestricted driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Nice-to-Haves
• Independent clinical license strongly preferred (e.g., LICSW, LMHC, LMFT).
