Conklin's Facility Maintenance Technician job involves ensuring the functionality and safety of our facility. This includes performing routine maintenance tasks, troubleshooting issues, and coordinating with external contractors when necessary. In this role you will work in a basic capacity with various systems like HVAC, plumbing, and electrical, and are responsible for maintaining equipment, conducting inspections, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities

Troubleshooting and Repairs: Diagnosing and resolving problems with equipment, electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, and other building systems.

Preventive Maintenance: Taking steps to prevent equipment failures and disruptions, such as lubricating machinery, replacing filters, and inspecting for wear and tear.

Safety Compliance: Ensuring all maintenance activities adhere to safety regulations and standards, maintaining a safe working environment.

Record Keeping: Maintaining logs of maintenance activities, equipment history, and repairs, often using our facility maintenance software to track work orders and asset management.

Coordination with Contractors: Communicating with and coordinating with external contractors for specialized repairs or maintenance tasks.

General Maintenance Tasks: Performing a variety of tasks such as carpentry work, painting, cleaning, and other general upkeep duties.

Equipment Operation: Understanding and operating various tools and equipment necessary for maintenance and repairs.

Communication: Effectively communicating with other departments, supervisors, and contractors regarding maintenance needs and work progress.
