A rewarding opportunity is available for an MRI technologist to provide expert imaging services in a dynamic medical environment. This contract position is based in Barre, Vermont, at a community-based hospital that offers a broad mix of radiology modalities including MRI, CT, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, and mammography. If you are a skilled technologist with a commitment to patient care and quality imaging, this role offers substantial hands-on experience with a GE Optima 450w MRI and a collaborative team environment of over 40 staff members.

Responsibilities include performing routine MRI exams, administering contrast injections, and supporting imaging needs throughout the radiology department, including fluoroscopy and surgical settings. This role requires participation in call rotations during weekends and holidays with scheduled coverage, typically from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Staffing flexibility is needed as floating to different radiology units and off-sites is part of the job.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • 1 to 2 years of clinical experience in MRI imaging
  • ARRT certification in radiology required; vascular certification preferred for ultrasound roles
  • Ability to handle routine exams efficiently, managing an average daily caseload of 12-14 exams
  • Comfortable working with a wide-bore MRI and various imaging technologies
  • Adherence to dress code requirements: scrubs (any color), closed non-skid shoes, minimal jewelry, groomed hair/beard permitting mask use
  • Willingness to work as part of a multi-modality team within a hospital setting
