Job Description\n
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Post Partum position providing comprehensive mother-baby couplet care during night shifts.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
- Work in a hospital postpartum unit specializing in mother-baby couplet care
- Cares for postpartum patients following vaginal and cesarean deliveries
- Night shift schedule from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am with 12-hour shifts
- Unit consists of two areas with 20 rooms in Wesson 2 and 11 in Pod A, with additional surge capacity
- Expected patient ratios of 3-4 couplets per nurse
- Required to float within the OB service, with first priority to float to Labor & Delivery
- Weekend and holiday shifts are required
- No on-call responsibility
- Responsible for maternal assessments, newborn evaluations, breastfeeding support, and education for discharge planning
- Collaborates with postpartum care team to deliver comprehensive family-centered care
- Must be able to adapt to surge capacity situations and double occupancy when necessary

- Active MA RN license required
- Current BLS and NRP certifications required
- Minimum of 1 year recent postpartum nursing experience
- Experience with assessments and care for postpartum patients and newborns
