Tired of rushing from patient to patient, feeling like you never have enough time to truly make a difference?
Ready for a change?

If you’re a compassionate nurse who’s ready to slow down, connect more deeply with your patients, and help seniors age safely in the comfort of their homes—we want to talk to you.

At Abernathy Home Care, we understand that nursing is about people, not just paperwork. Our nurses are given the time and autonomy they need to provide exceptional care, build meaningful relationships, and go home each day knowing they made a real impact.

What You’ll Do:

This is a full-time, salaried position focused primarily on non-skilled home care visits—perfect for a nurse looking to step away from high-pressure environments and into more relationship-centered care.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Conducting initial and ongoing client assessments

  • Leading introductory home visits to establish trust and explain services

  • Developing and maintaining individualized Plans of Care

  • Supervising and supporting HHAs and homemakers

  • Providing in-home and in-office training and coaching to caregiving staff

  • Participating in case conferences and quality initiatives

  • Working one weekend day and one weeknight per month (flexible schedule provided)

  • Standard hours: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM Monday–Friday when not covering weekend or evening shifts

What We’re Looking For:

We’re happy to train the right nurse—someone who brings compassion, integrity, and a desire to help seniors live their best lives at home.

  • Active RN or LPN license in Massachusetts

  • CPR certification

  • Minimum 1 year of nursing experience (home care or community-based setting preferred)

  • Excellent communication, organization, and clinical judgment

  • Able to work independently and manage time well

  • Spanish-speaking strongly preferred

  • Reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license required

Why You’ll Love Working Here:

  • Salaried position – no more chasing hours

  • Mileage reimbursement

  • Health, dental & vision insurance

  • Paid time off & holidays

  • Supportive, mission-driven team culture

  • Real work-life balance

  • A chance to reconnect with why you became a nurse

If you’re ready to trade burnout for balance and bring your heart back into your work, we’d love to hear from you.

Apply now and take the first step toward a more meaningful nursing career.
