Our dynamic and fast-paced manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Permanent Maintenance Manager to join our team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our manufacturing processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all installation, repair, and upkeep operations of the company's facilities. If you are a hands-on professional with a strategic mindset, we would like to meet you.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop maintenance procedures and ensure implementation.
2. Carry out inspections of the facilities to identify and resolve issues.
3. Plan and oversee all repair and installation activities.
4. Monitor equipment inventory and place orders when necessary.
5. Manage relationships with contractors and service providers.
6. Keep maintenance logs and report on daily activities.
7. Ensure health and safety policies are complied with.
8. Develop and control annual budget for maintenance, facilities, and capital equipment.
9. Implement and monitor performance metrics for critical departmental functions.
10. Drive the implementation of lean manufacturing principles within the department.
11. Develop strategies to increase productivity while maintaining high quality.
Qualifications:
1. Proven experience as a Maintenance Manager or other managerial role.
2. Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
3. In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations.
4. Familiarity with machinery and electrical equipment.
5. Understanding of budgeting and performance management.
6. Excellent knowledge of mechanical and hydraulic systems.
7. Proficiency in planning maintenance operations.
8. Solid understanding of technical aspects of plumbing, carpentry, electrical systems etc.
9. Working knowledge of facilities machines and equipment.
10. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
11. BSc/Ba in business administration or facility management or relevant field will be a plus.
12. Certified Maintenance Manager (CMM) will be a plus.
13. Strong knowledge and understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles.
