Urology Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA)

Job Responsibilities
- Manage an independent outpatient urology patient panel, including evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment planning
- Perform and interpret urologic assessments, follow-ups, and medication management
- Provide patient education on conditions, procedures, and preventive care
- Collaborate closely with urologists, nursing staff, and care teams to coordinate high-quality care
- Participate in optional first-call on-call coverage (opportunity available)
- Document care clearly and efficiently within established clinical workflows
- Maintain compliance with clinical standards, safety practices, and required trainings
Minimum Qualifications
- Education:
- Master’s degree in Nursing (NP), or graduation from an AMA-approved Physician Assistant program (PA)
- Experience:
- 2+ years of NP or PA experience in urology or a closely related specialty
- Licensure/Certification:
- Active Vermont NP licensure and national NP certification (ANCC or equivalent), or
- Active Vermont PA licensure and NCCPA certification
- Department-specific certifications as required (examples may include ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC, depending on operational needs)
- Key Skills & Attributes:
- Strong clinical judgment, patient-centered communication, and teamwork
- Comfort managing a high-quality outpatient workflow with autonomy
- Professionalism, reliability, and a proactive approach to learning

- No weekend office hours
- No OR assist responsibilities
