We’re seeking a CNC professional who can run turning, milling, and mill-turn work centers, keep quality front-and-center, and help us ship flawless parts. If you have a knack for prints, GD&T, and in-process inspection—and you’re open to growing into a lead role—read on.

Core impact

  • Produce parts to customer specifications using CNC lathes, mills, and mill-turn equipment.
  • Program or modify CNC programs as needed; verify outcomes after changes.
  • Perform first piece and in-process inspections per print callouts.
  • Deburr to requirements and maintain part identification and lot segregation.
  • Detect, segregate, and report nonconforming product and FOD; control nonconforming material per procedure.
  • Document results accurately on job travelers and associated quality records.
  • Notify leads/management of damaged or nonconforming parts immediately.
  • Assist with packaging and shipping to meet delivery commitments.
  • Comply with AS9100D and all customer-specific requirements; report safety concerns.

Lead option

Opportunity to oversee a turning or milling area: scheduling, troubleshooting, programming updates, and coordinating first-piece inspections in collaboration with the other area lead.

Competencies

  • Print reading; basic-to-strong GD&T proficiency.
  • Multitasking across machines and inspection while parts are running.
  • Manual dexterity, endurance for standing, and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Clean, organized work habits and a proven safety focus.
  • Proficient with measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, gage blocks).
  • Team-oriented mindset within an AS9100 environment.

Required knowledge & skills

  • Understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
  • Experience with Brown & Sharpe Micro-Val CMM and/or CMM Manager software is a plus.
  • Strong communication and math skills.
  • Familiarity with AS9100 shop practices.

Training & education

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • AS9100 awareness; familiarity with Jet Machined Products inspection forms and recordkeeping preferred.

Reporting

Reports to the Turning/Milling Lead. If hired as Lead, reports to the General Manager.

Physical demands & environment

  • Lift and move machined parts; stand for long periods.
  • Clean, relatively quiet facility; hearing protection required in designated areas.
  • Eye protection required for specific operations.

Hours

Occasional overtime based on workload.
