Job Title: Corporate Associate
Location: Boston, MA
Salary Rate: $120,000 - $150,000
My client is a well-respected firm in Boston, MA . We are seeking an attorney with experience in commercial lending to join our team. The ideal candidate would have 2+ years of experience with commercial lending, real estate, and other related areas. If that sounds like you, please apply!
What You Will Do
- Review lenders' credit approval criteria and draft supporting loan documentation
- Identify and perform due diligence searches; analyze and interpret findings
- Negotiate lender title insurance policies and prepare intercreditor, syndication, and participation agreements
- Structure SNDAs with commercial real estate tenants
- Perfect security interests in personal property per UCC regulations
- Review organizational and authority documents for transaction participants
- Draft and negotiate land-use/zoning opinions for real estate collateral
- Handle workouts: forbearance, loan modifications, and settlement agreements
- Collaborate with borrower's counsel and third parties on transactional documents
Skills & Experience Required
- Admitted to the Massachusetts State Bar
- Proven ability to multitask in a demanding, fast-paced legal environment
- 3-7+ years of experience in commercial real estate finance, lending, affordable housing, or workouts
- Strong negotiation, drafting, analytical, and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication; collaborative, detail-oriented team player
- Willingness to embrace new responsibilities in a growing firm
- Ambition to develop client relationships and evolve into loan origination/business development roles
