Position Overview:
Role: Remote Special Education Teacher
Location: New Hampshire (fully remote)
Type: Full-time 1099 Contractor
Responsibilities:

Deliver individualized instruction (reading, writing, math, social skills) to students with IEPs via virtual platforms (Zoom, Google Classroom, etc.).

Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) aligned with NH state standards and student goals.

Adapt lesson plans and instructional strategies to meet diverse learning modalities and needs.

Monitor student progress using data-driven tools, track growth, and adapt instruction accordingly.

Provide behavior intervention support and scaffold learning experiences to promote independence.

Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists (speech, OT, PT), parents/guardians, and administrators.

Participate in IEP meetings, student support team meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and trainingsvirtually and occasionally in person.

Assist with testing acmodations (e.g., extended time, alternate formats) per IEPs.

Stay up to date on best practices in special education, assistive technologies, and remote instruction tools.
Qualifications:
Required:

Bachelors degree in Special Education or a related field

Valid NH special education teaching license or eligibility for licensure

Minimum of 2 years of special education teaching experience

Proficiency with virtual platforms (e.g., Zoom, Google Meet, LMS systems)

Strong knowledge of NH Special Education regulations and federal IDEA guidelines

Excellent munication skillsverbal, written, and collaborative
Preferred:

Masters degree in Special Education or Educational Leadership

Experience with multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS), RTI, positive behavior supports

Familiarity with assistive technology software (e.g., text-to-speech, AAC tools)

Training in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Reading Recovery, Wilson, or Orton-Gillingham
