Emergency Department Registered Nurse – Travel Position
Location: Concord, NH
Job Type: Travel Contract
Duration: 18 weeks
Shift: 3x12s Nights
Pay: $2,481/week
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse to join on a travel contract in Concord, NH. The Emergency Nurse will provide high-quality, compassionate care to patients experiencing urgent and emergent medical conditions in a fast-paced hospital environment. The ideal candidate is calm under pressure, highly skilled in rapid assessment, and dedicated to delivering safe and effective patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department, prioritizing patients based on acuity.
- Perform rapid assessments and monitor vital signs, responding quickly to changes in condition.
- Administer medications, treatments, and emergency interventions as ordered.
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and interdisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated care.
- Educate patients and families about care plans, treatment, and follow-up instructions.
- Accurately document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in compliance with hospital policies.
- Maintain a safe environment, adhering to infection control and emergency preparedness standards.
Qualifications:
- Current and valid Registered Nurse license in New Hampshire (or compact license).
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate Degree in Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing).
- Minimum of 1 year of recent Emergency Department nursing experience.
- Current certifications in Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred).
- COVID-19 vaccine and recent tuberculosis test.
- Strong communication, assessment, and organizational skills.
- Ability to perform effectively in high-stress, fast-paced emergency situations.
