Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Special Education Teacher opportunity is available in Kingston, NH, serving middle and high school students within Life Skills classrooms. This contract position offers the chance to work closely with diverse learners aged 6th through 12th grade, supporting individualized educational plans and fostering inclusive learning environments.
Location: Kingston, NH
Position Type: Full-time Contract (37.5 hours/week)
Caseload:
- Middle School: 6th to 8th grades, Life Skills classroom
- High School: 9th to 12th grades, Life Skills classroom
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each students needs in the Life Skills setting.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, families, and support staff to create supportive and goal-oriented learning environments.
- Monitor student progress regularly and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation to ensure compliance with special education policies and regulations.
- Promote social, emotional, and educational growth for students with diverse learning challenges.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education.
- Experience working with middle and/or high school students in Life Skills or similar special education classrooms.
- Strong knowledge of special education laws, instructional strategies, and intervention techniques.
- Ability to manage multiple caseloads and adapt to varied student needs.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with educators, families, and community resources.
