Site Manager - Skillbuilders
Fulltime
Location:
Chicopee, MA
Schedule: 8a-4p
Pay:
$21/hr

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program Supervision and Oversight: Assist the Program Director in implementing and monitoring vocational and day training programs, ensuring they meet the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities. Ensure all tasks are performed efficiently and safely.
  • Direct Staff Supervision: Oversee daily activities of staff members, ensuring adherence to program protocols and safety standards.
  • Vocational Trainee Assistance: Work closely with trainees, providing hands-on support, monitoring progress, and adapting training methods as needed. Identify and assist trainees who are struggling, providing guidance and hands-on support as needed.
  • Program Operations Management: Help manage day-to-day program operations, including scheduling activities, facilitating groups and equipment and facilities maintenance.
  • Daily Transitions: Facilitate smooth transitions during the day for various farm activities.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure safety protocols are followed at the program or in any community setting where program participants and staff are.
  • Crisis Management: Be prepared to handle emergencies, providing immediate support and coordination with other professionals as needed.
  • Acting Director Role: Serve as the acting director in the absence of the Program Director, taking on necessary leadership responsibilities.
  • All other programmatic needs as assigned by the Program Director

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree preferred
  • Employee must have a minimum of 2 years experience managing a team in a highly dynamic environment
  • Ability to connect with people with a deep belief in the potential of every human being
  • Valid drivers license, acceptable driving record and a vehicle
  • Excellent communication, computer and organizational skills
  • Must be able to drive, have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record and have reliable transportation.
  • Must be able to perform CPR and First Aid
  • Must be able to lift 10-25 pounds.
