Federal Construction Superintendent
Position Overview
The Superintendent will oversee vertical construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the specified quality standards. This position will represent the GC on major additions/renovations to federal buildings including hospitals and GSA facilities. Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily on-site operations and supervise construction staff
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders
- Ensure projects are completed in compliance with federal regulations
- Monitor project schedules, budgets, and timelines
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality and safety standards are met
- Prepare and submit reports on project progress and issues to management
- Implement and enforce safety policies and procedures on-site
Qualifications
- 5+ years of Superintendent experience on projects of similar size and scope
- Prior experience representing a GC who utilizes subcontractors for various trades
- Well-versed with EM 385-1-1 protocols
- Prior experience with design-build and design-bid-build
- Prior experience with federal renovation projects 5M-15M+
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and plans
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
