Adecco Staffing is working with a manufacturing company in Grafton, MA to bring on a Quality Technician. This is a 1st shift position with plenty of overtime available.

Job Activities (Spooling):
Responsibilities in spooling operations include the ability to perform several basic tasks. The operator will operate a spooling line with the primary objective to transfer wire or cable from a bulk spool supplied from the extrusion department to a smaller length and put-up.
As part of the process the operator will carefully label each spool and palletize or box in preparation of final shipment. Constant verification and recording of part numbers and quantities to shipping paperwork is an essential function of this job. The employee will reference the Hueson Pack and Ship module which often includes detailed procedures and instructions that are each customer specific.
The operator must take extreme pride in the neatness and appearance of the final product as they are our companies’ last line of defense between shipping a sub-standard product.
Cleanliness and orderliness of work station and work area is a must.
Education/Experience:
High School Degree or GED; and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical documents and instructions. Ability to understand process sheets and interpret drawings and technical data sheets (TDS). Communicate with supervisors and co-workers.
Math:
Ability to work with basic mathematical concepts such as addition, division and multiplication.
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. The person in this position will be called upon to frequently lift or move heavy spools, reels and boxes. They must possess the ability to climb ladders and reach above ones head to perform tasks and move material to work stations. The employee will be employed in a moderately noisy environment and may have limited exposure to chemicals, fumes and plastics. All precautions should be taken to follow company safety directions at all times.
Pay Details: $19.75 per hour
