This opportunity offers a rewarding role in a specialized cardiac stepdown unit focused on advanced cardiac care. You will work within a 24-bed telemetry unit providing care for patients recovering from complex cardiac procedures such as TAVR, ablations, cardiac catheterizations, and pacemaker insertions. The unit maintains a patient-to-nurse ratio of 4:1 during both day and night shifts, enabling focused and attentive care.
Key responsibilities include monitoring cardiac drips, managing advanced cardiac devices such as cardio MEMS, and delivering expert post-procedure care in a fast-paced telemetry environment. You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team including charge nurses, patient care technicians, and monitor techs to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Documentation is completed using the Allscripts system.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- Proven telemetry experience with cardiac patient care
- Solid understanding of post-TAVR, ablation, and cardiac catheterization care
- Certification in BLS and ACLS mandatory
- Comfort with frequent use of advanced monitoring equipment and cardiac drips
