Summary: The Resident Services Nurse (Registered Nurse) plays a crucial role in supporting the Resident Services Director with the overall execution, delivery, and coordination of Resident Care Services within the community.
Essential Functions:
- Oversee the Resident Services Department staff, including C.N.A.s (Resident Services Assistants).
- Assist in managing the medication program and support residents with self-administration of their medications.
- Foster positive relationships with residents, their families, and healthcare providers.
- Report any significant incidents or changes in residents' needs to the Executive Director/Resident Services Director.
- Help complete resident assessments and develop service plans.
- Assist with clinical assessments and recertifications as required by state regulations.
- Support the Resident Services Director in recruitment and performance management within the department.
- Participate in the training and orientation of new staff members.
- Engage in scheduled in-service training programs and team meetings.
- Assist with the scheduling and staffing of Resident Services Assistants as necessary.
- Provide coaching and mentorship to associates in the Resident Services Department as needed.
- Support residents and their families to ensure a high level of satisfaction.
- Assist in supervising RSA staff during the provision of care.
Education/Experience/Licensure/Certification:
- Must hold a valid RN or LPN license in the state of Massachusetts.
- Experience in assisted living or long-term care environments is preferred.
- Basic First Aid and CPR certification required.
- A genuine passion for working with seniors is essential.
