Job Responsibilities and Required/Preferred Skills & Requirements:

    Perform MRI examinations in a community-based teaching hospital setting, ensuring high-quality imaging and patient safety.

    \t

  • \t

    Operate wide-bore MRI equipment and conduct routine and specialized MRI procedures across various patient populations.

    \t

  • \t

  • \t

    Prepare patients for MRI procedures, including screening, positioning, IV access, and administration of contrast media.

    \t

  • \t

  • \t

    Accurately document exams and patient information using the Epic electronic medical record system.

    \t

  • \t

  • \t

    Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams across radiology, OR, ER, and off-site units as needed.

    Maintain compliance with safety standards, infection control policies, and departmental protocols.

    \t

  • \t

  • \t

    Participate in scheduled on-call rotations, including one night per week and every 4th or 5th weekend, with potential weekend and holiday coverage.

    Float within the radiology department as required to meet operational needs.

    \t

Required Qualifications:

    ARRT MRI certification.

    \t

  • \t

  • \t

    Minimum of 2 years of MRI clinical experience.

    \t

  • \t

  • \t

    Teaching hospital experience.

    \t

  • \t

  • \t

    Recent Epic charting experience (within the past 2 years; required).

    \t

  • \t

  • \t

    Ability to start peripheral IVs and administer contrast.

    \t

  • \t

  • \t

    Flexibility to work variable schedules, including call coverage.

    \t

Preferred Skills & Experience:

    Experience working in a multi-modality radiology department.

  • \t

    Strong communication and time-management skills in a fast-paced environment.

  • \t

    Comfort working independently during assigned shifts when needed.
