Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A contract position is available for a Special Education Teacher specializing in PreK-5 or PreK-8 within an elementary school setting. This role is designed for educators with a passion for working with young learners and a commitment to providing individualized support to students with special needs. The position runs from February 23rd to June 16th and offers a consistent schedule of 35 hours per week, five days a week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students on caseload.
• Deliver specialized instruction tailored to the developmental and academic needs of elementary-aged students.
• Collaborate with general education staff and families to support student progress.
• Monitor and document student performance and adapt teaching strategies as needed.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to a supportive learning environment.

Qualifications:

• Valid certification as a Special Education Teacher for PreK-5 or PreK-8.
• Experience working with elementary-aged students in a special education capacity.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage and support a caseload of students.
• Commitment to fostering inclusive and supportive classroom environments.
