Job DescriptionWe are looking for a dedicated Conflicts Attorney to join our team in Peabody, Massachusetts. This long-term contract position offers an exciting opportunity to work on a wide range of legal matters, including civil litigation and collections management. The role involves close collaboration with internal teams and external counsel to ensure effective case handling and resolution.
Responsibilities:
• Draft and review demand letters to initiate legal proceedings.
• Prepare and file court documents in compliance with applicable laws.
• Collaborate with the internal collections department to address ongoing cases.
• Coordinate with external collection agencies to monitor case progress and status.
• Provide support in managing relationships with outside counsel.
• Conduct legal research and draft motions, briefs, and other litigation-related documents.
• Oversee discovery processes, ensuring timely and accurate information exchange.
• Assist the General Counsel with various legal and administrative tasks.
• Handle civil litigation matters, ensuring adherence to best practices and legal standards.• Licensed attorney with the ability to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in civil litigation or a related legal field.
• Strong understanding of drafting motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Proficiency in managing discovery processes and conducting legal research.
• Experience with collections and collections management is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong organizational abilities to handle multiple cases and deadlines effectively.
