We are now accepting applications for Dining Services and Event Captains.
The Dining Services and/or Event Captain supervises and coordinates banquet events, as well as dining services as assigned. They supervise and assist service staff as necessary in their meeting their job requirements. The Captain ensures Basin Harbor policies and procedures are followed. The Captain provides sincere service through actions that display self-confidence, grace, and courtesy to guests and colleagues. The Captain may lead pre-shift team meetings for Dining Services and is required to attend and lead banquets event operations (BEO) meetings for their reporting staff members.
We are currently seeking full-time, seasonal Dining Services and Event Captains to join our team for our upcoming summer season from mid-May though October, 2026.
Requirements:
Some essential competencies are: Understanding the need for proper etiquette and service standards, prior supervisory experience of 3+ years preferred, able to take direction and work in a team environment, attention to detail, efficient, and able to perform multiple tasks systematically in a fast paced environment, ability to remember and follow dining room procedures, a clean, well kept, professional appearance. As well, shift work may require up to 10-hour shifts - walking and standing. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., frequently throughout shift.
