Minimum 1+ years Paraprofessional or Special Education experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This position offers two openings for paraprofessionals to provide one-on-one support to students with behavioral needs within a K-12 school setting. The role requires a professional with experience working in educational or child-related environments, particularly with special education populations. Assignments are based in Salem, NH, with a contract lasting through June 17, 2026.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing individualized support to students with behavioral challenges
- Adapting to classroom changes and rearrangements as needed
- Collaborating with school staff to promote a positive learning environment
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Paraprofessional or relevant child-related experience in a professional setting
- Comfort working with students in special education
- Reliable transportation to and from school locations
- Completion of district fingerprinting and successful onboarding process
- Ability to provide one completed reference before submission
- Availability for a Zoom interview
Schedule and Locations:
- Two openings available
- Captain Samuel Douglass Academy: 8:35 AM to 3:10 PM
- Richard Maghakian Memorial School: 8:25 AM to 3:00 PM
This contract position begins as soon as possible and extends through the current school year, ending June 17, 2026.
