A nursing opportunity is available at a medical center in Nashua, NH, offering a contract position on a Med Surg unit with 29 beds and a patient ratio of 6:1. This role provides RN professionals with experience in acute care settings the chance to utilize their clinical skills alongside supportive LNA staff in a technology-equipped environment featuring PCA pumps, IV pumps, and telemetry. The unit uses Meditech Expanse for documentation and emphasizes excellent patient experience practices, including bedside care conferences and safety rounding.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- Minimum of one year acute care experience is essential
- Proficiency in dysrhythmia recognition and management
- Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) mandatory
- Comfortable working without a unit secretary, with LNA assistance available
- Ability to float within units as needed
- Professional and clean attire; no specific scrub color required
Schedule:
- Every other weekend scheduling
Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive bedside nursing care within the assigned unit
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Utilize advanced monitoring and medication delivery equipment effectively and safely
- Participate in unit-based patient experience initiatives, including bedside care conferences and safety rounds
- Adhere to unit-specific policies and guidelines to maintain high standards of care
